Many travelers use colorful ribbons or stickers to make their bags stand out, but an airport worker from Dublin Airport warns that this might cause more problems than it solves.
According to baggage handler John, tying ribbons to your suitcase can delay its processing. The ribbons can interfere with the scanning process, causing the bag to be flagged for manual checks and potentially missing the flight. John also advises removing old stickers, as they can confuse the scanning system.
Another surprising travel tip? Don’t pack marzipan. Due to its density, it can be flagged by security, as it resembles the weight of some explosives, leading to unnecessary bag searches.
